| 2. I just changed my DNS and my website still does not work? |
^Top |
| This is because it takes 24-72 hours for your settings to migrate around the Internet. A good way to check if things are being broadcast is to do a ping from your MS DOS Prompt. Simply type: ping yourdomain.com and if it returns with replies from an IP address starting with 66.57 or 216.157 then it should be done updating. |
|
| |
| 3. Can I access my website while waiting for the DNS to update? |
^Top |
| Yes, you are able to access your website via the link included with your account activation email. However you will need to login until your domain fully resolves. |
|

| You need to use an FTP client such as WS_FTP or CuteFTP (only 2 examples out of many). Please go to a software search engine to find copies of the software (download.com, softseek.com....etc). To use the FTP client put ftp.yourdomain.com in the host text field, your login is your username and the password is your account password. Please contact us for more help on this topic at support@joneshost.com |
